Advanced Bioenergy Research Centre to be set up by IndianOil & Department of Biotechnology

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, the biggest financial enterprise in the homeland inked a Memorandum of Agreement with Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India to set up a DBT–IOC Centre for Advanced Research on Bio-energy. The MoA was marked by Dr. R K Malhotra Director (R&D) of IndianOil and Dr. Renu Swarup, Advisor, Department of Biotechnology in the occurrence of Secretary DBT, Dr. M. K. Bhan and Mr. R.S Butola, Chairman Indian Oil Corporation at a short function held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Several luminaries from biotech part and older functionaries from IndianOil and DBT were furthermore present.

IndianOil’s Gross Turnover up by 27.9% to Rs. 99,757 crore Still Posts Rs. 3,719 Crore decrease for Q1

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IndianOil)’s Gross Turnover for first quarter of the present economic year completed June 2011 increased by 27.9% to Rs. 99,757 crore from Rs. 77,972 crore throughout the identical time span last year. The Corporation has dispatched a decrease of Rs. 3,719 crore for the first quarter of 2011-12 as in evaluation to a decrease of Rs. 3,388 crore for the identical quarter of the preceding year. An initiative of DC, Handicarfts, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India to showcase different products made by Cluster Artisans across India. Artisans are provided with technical / marketing know-how for making these products by implementing agencies which are partnered by DC, Handicrafts for the upliftment of these Artisans. The portal showcases 27209 products under 32 different categories. The buyer can reach the product through Craft / Sub-Carft, Product / Sub - Product & Region. Once you reach a product, you can view the product details and the cluster details where the product was actually made. It is an effort to provide a market linkage to these Artisans/Clusters so that buyers / exporters can get in touch with them directly for sending enquiries for the products.

About Us

This site is an initiative of Development Commissioner, Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. Of India with an objective to make a platform to showcase the rich cultural heritage and products of Indian Artisans. This site is an online catalogue of handicraft products under 32 different Categories.

The site main objective is for buyers of Indian Handicrafts to be able to view the different products made by Indian Artisans and get in touch directly with the Implementing Agency for procurement of the products.

A buyer has an option to search for products via 32 Crafts categories, or through a product Directory and also through States.

Currently the site is available in English and Tamil (for only Tamil Clusters) and soon it will be available in all languages for their respective clusters.
